height 7 1/2 inches, width across handle 5 1/4 inches, weight 18 Troy ounces, capacity one quart, marked as shown in fourth enlargement. A classic, organic shape made famous by the Jensen Silversmithy (and featured on the dj of Janet Drucker's popular book), this design was conceived by Rohde in 1925, but did not enter production until 1930 because it was considered too radical.

This lovely example is entirely hand wrought, and dates from 1948...

height 7 3/8 inches, 3 1/4 inches across base, weight 11.75 Troy ounces, no monogram. Please note that these are not weighted.

There are some condition issues. One (on left in photo) has some dents in the side panels; the bobeche on the other is a bit wavy. Also, though they bear the same model number, one is decorated with beading and the other with "rope."

Keep in mind that when your table is lit with candle light, the guests will simply say "what lovely pair of candlesticks!"

Alas, mainly a decorative item as no hole has been drilled for the spout to function.

Our resident fashion consultant tells me that rose gold colored items (it is gilt inside and out) such as this are currently "in".

length 12 5/8 inches, weight a massive 8.69 Troy ounces, monogrammed "L" (script, obverse), some light wear and minor scratches in bowl but fine overall condition and truly a grand old piece of Tiffany flatware which unlike others of its kind won't make quite such a big dent in your bank account...

length 8 1/2 inches, weight an impressive 6.4 Troy ounces, no monogram, with Jensen trademark circa 1940, "84", and Swedish import marks, (see third enlargement).

Over the years, we've bought and sold many pieces of Blossom. This one is in exemplary condition, with gentle hammer marks on spoon bowl and fork tines; each petal of the blossom with full detail as shown in fourth photo. If you're looking for a "best example," stop looking and send us an email!

In what Donald Soeffing has lovingly labeled a "naive" pattern (see Medallion Silver, p. 95); 4 7/8 inches long; weight 2.13 Troy ounces, fine condition; no monogram; applied warrior's head in high relief surrounded by engraving; marked only "COIN 1".

These are far above average in terms of quality, condition, and design.

also known as "man in the moon," and "North wind," but whatever you call it this Charles Osborne design is certainly one of the most enchanting pieces of children's silverware ever created.

Length 5 3/4 inches, weight 1.67 Troy ounces, engraved on reverse of bowl "Edna from Louise '92", excellent original condition with only the slightest loss of gilding to high points. This item is becoming increasingly difficult to find.

height 3 1/2: diameter 3 inches, weight 4.0 Troy ounces, excellent original condition, monogrammed "RCC Dec 30th, 1863".

The engine turned work on this mug is of above average quality.

Though there is a slight condition issue (minor dent just above base; see fourth photo), the quality of repousée chasing throughout this piece is exceptional. All detail is perfectly preserved, even the delicate hammer marks left by the silversmith's tools.

including (top to bottom) D & H Number Ten, Blackinton "Thistle," and Gorham Cambridge which is monogrammed as shown. All are in excellent condition and average 4 1/2 inches. Total Troy weight 1.43 oz.

properly known as a "pie knife," length ten inches, light scratches on front of blade but good overall condition, weight 2.93 Troy ounces, monogrammed with a lovely Art Nouveau script "S."

or large sugar shell, length 6 3/8 inches, weight 1.26 Troy ounces, fine condition, monogrammed "Jessie".

Baltimore circa 1860, length five inches, weight .52 Troy ounces, no monogram, excellent condition. Please see third photo for mark. Gilding appears to be original but there is no way to know this, for sure.

This pattern is not common in American silver of the 19th century.
