Golden Bee Cross Stitch Kit Farm Scene

And yet another of my “want to do, never got around to it” sewing projects! This one is a stamped cross-stitch picture titled “Farm Scene Picture”. It is designed with the appearance of a picture within a picture – a farm scene that is “seen” inside the outline of a house. Neat idea!

Per package, the finished size is 12” x 16” and matted size is 16” x 20”. Kit contains: design printed on 50% polyester, 50% cotton fabric, 100% cotton floss, and easy to follow instructions.

The kit has been opened by me because I read that needles should not be left in the fabric. So when I purchased this kit, I opened it and removed the needle (don’t remember what I did with the needle so kit does not have a needle). I read that leaving needles in fabric can cause discoloration and stretching of the fabric. You can see the holes where the needle was placed when the kit was assembled but I think a mat would cover it when framed.It is also possible to sometimes "work" out the holes. I do not believe this to be detrimental.
