Star Gift Pattern Book Dated 1944

This book by American Thread Company is titled “Star Gift Book” and has designs/instructions for items to knit, crochet, and tat.

Included are instructions for house shoes/slippers, crochet aprons (so popular and highly sought by today’s collectors!), handbags, hanky edgings, two dogs and a cat, doilies, hotplates, and more.

Of particular interest are instructions for crochet gloves! If you collect vintage items, you know crochet gloves are “hot” items that are in demand which makes them increasingly difficult to find – with this book, you can make your own!

Book has 31 pages, copyright date of 1944 and is in wonderful condition with some page yellowing/aging and seam splits on cover page.
