Groovy 70's turquoise kangaroo bank plaster ceramic or paper mache?

I love these whimsical banks from the 60's and 70's. This one is a turquoise kangaroo, with the original plug and sticker FF Japan. Not sure if that means Fitz & Floyd or not. These appear to made of a sort of plaster, though I have seen them reffered to as paper mache and ceramic. Measures 8: tall. This one seems to have had the ear repaired at one time either before or after being made. The repair is very good and color matches perfect so I'm not sure. See lots of other banks that are similar I have listed.
