Meito Tree in meadow, sunset lake sailboat scene

Meito hand painted footed shallow compote. The brilliant sunset or sunrise scene is gorgeous with a misty rosy orange sky above the placid lake. It is finely painted with graduated colors fading to the light yellow sky at the top and blue water at the bottom. The famous tree has a nice form with its swaying trunk, and is layered in many shades of green. A grassy meadow, trees and bushes form the middle ground. It measures 8 5/8 inches in diameter. and is footed, standing 2 3/4" tall and is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or scratches. It has a gold rim which has a few faded areas. It is marked Meito China Hand Painted Made in Japan with the crown logo in green. Meito China is very similar to period hand painted antique Nippon porcelain.
