A late Art Nouveau design issued in 1907, International's "Marcell" is a design that incorporates a variety of blossoms and leaves arrayed on the handle front and back.

A relatively uncommon line, this example is a 6 3/4" long, substantial weight at 1.4 T. oz., spoon variously identified as an oval soup, dessert, or place piece.

This has a cursive "A.L.M." monogram lightly inscribed sideways on the handle front.

In very good estate condition, the only signs of use are surface scratches, most evident in the bowl which is otherwise free of dents, bends, or tip wear. The patina is soft and warm.

Marks are the "indian head" emblem of the Wilcox & Evertsen division of International, "sterling," and the letter "A."
