$46.00

Unusual for Whiting in regard to the pattern which is a "Twist" handle with a faceted, four-sided, solid end, and the bowl form which is an elongated, gold washed, shell with a cupped heel with flange shoulders, this 6 1/8" long, .7 T. oz., item is likely a sugar spoon.

Dating from late in the 19th century, it is marked with the Whiting "lion with W" logo, "Sterling," and the number "30" on the heel backside.

Never monogrammed, it remains in outstanding condition, with the only wear being some loss of the gold finish, most evident on the bowl backside. There are no bends in the handle, or dents in the bowl, and the overall finish shows a warm patina.
