$180.00 Price for the set of six.

Hallmarked with a castle for Edinburgh, Scotland, a thistle for sterling silver, a "B in an oval" date letter for 1858-59, and a queen's head duty mark, this matched set of six place aka oval soup aka dessert spoons are a versatile-sized 7" long and weigh just over 6.0 T. oz. the lot.

The maker's stamp is "L&S" which is tentatively identified by sources as "Lister and Sons. This firm was a Newcastle, England, manufacturer, which obviously had these spoons authenticated (assayed) for sale in the Scottish market.

They are a "Reverse Tipt" pattern with a thumb drop on the heel backsides, and a script "H" monogram on the fronts.

Very well crafted, they have beveled edges, high, pointed shoulders at the joins with the bowls, which themselves are generously proportioned at 2 1/2" by 1 1/2" at the widest, and well-formed.

In very fine condition, these are essentially without wear, show no damage or repairs, and have bright finishes.
