$265.00 Price for the pair.

This circa 1900 set includes a relatively large, 2 1/4" tall, 4" diameter, just under 3.5 T. oz., bowl, with a matching creamer with a subtle lip, that is the same 2 1/4" high to the rim, 2 3/4" to the top of the handle, 3 1/4" in diameter, and weighs 2.8 T. oz.

The style is a blend of Aesthetic and Art Nouveau tastes.

The Aesthetic is reflected in the overall hammered surfaces, the ethereal interpretation of raised leaves on the body, and the design on the strapwork detailing on the creamer handle.

Art Nouveau influences are evident in the interpretation of the multiple clusters of chased, flowing and sinuous, flowers arrayed on the walls of each piece.

Both items have flat bottoms, rolled rims, and retain traces of original gold washes on the interiors.

Never monogrammed or inscribed, these remain in very fine condition. They are without breaks, bends, dents, or pinholes, noting a slight bit of rippling on the upper plain band on the creamer. The finishes are bright.

Made by Whiting, each piece is marked on the underside with the company "lion" logo, "Sterling," and model number "4960."
