Issued in 1905, Watson's "Dorchester" is a shell and bead pattern that reflects the emerging colonial revival design trend of the period.

This example is a delicately scaled, 4 1/2" long, approximately .4 T. oz., bon bon or nut scoop with a decorative, reticulated, bowl with "Louis XV" detailing on the shoulders (see enlargement 2).

The handle backside is plain, save for Watson's Mechanics Division "H in a pennant" emblem and the word "Sterling."

Never monogrammed, this remains in flawless estate condition. There is no visible wear or damage and the finish is bright and even.
