Weighty at nearly 1.1 T. oz., this spoon measures 5 7/8" long.

Made by Wallace, whose "R W & S with deer head" emblem, "Sterling," and "Pat. 1902" appear on the backside, the pattern is "Irian."

A highly expressive Art Nouveau design, the handle features a semi-nude female surrounded by three cherubs, one with a drawn bow and arrow, a second with just an arrow. The lower portion of the handle portrays a cascade of flowers dominated by an iris, all set in high relief.

The handle backside is engraved "1909" in script lettering.

In flawless estate condition, this is retains clear detail without any polishing wear. The bowl is free of dents, bends, or burrs, and the finish is bright and even.
