$220.00 Price for the set of four.
Each of these matching items identified variously as tea, breakfast, or dessert knives measures 7 5/8" long. The group weigh 6.7 T. oz.
Coin silver with flat handles and blunt end blades, the pattern is Bead which was a popular design in their c. 1860 era.
The blade fronts are engraved in a decorative, period, scrolling acanthus leaf design, and are stamped "C.A. Burr & Co." for the Rochester, New York firm with narrow dates 1857-63.
The handle are inscribed in fine cursive lettering, "C P Bidwell." A google search confirms that the name Bidwell has strong historical associations with Rochester, while there remains a "Bidwell Terrace" road in that city.
In very fine condition, these evidence almost no wear, only a bit of nicking on the blade edges, are free of bends, and have warm finishes.
