$46.00

Measuring 7 7/8" long overall, this knife has a 3 3/4" mother of pearl handle with a silver ferrule, and a 4 1/8" silver blade. Total weight is 1.7 T. oz., the larger part of which is the silver.

English in origin, the blade and ferrule are hallmarked for Sheffield, sterling, 1901, and "JR" on the blade for John Round & Son, and "WY," unknown, on the ferrule.

The engraved blade is narrow, 3/8" wide, has a pointed tip and a sawtooth upper edge, which American convention employed on orange knives (as well as cake knives at a larger scale), suggesting this is a fruit knife.

In very fine condition, the handle is free of chips or cracks. It shows a faint bit of yellowing on the end, but this appears to be intrinsic to the material and not an effect of aging. The blade is without bends, surface wear, or nicks, save for a small burr at the tip.
