Originally working in Gardner, Massachusetts, but making his name in California where he settled in 1923, Porter George Blanchard (later joined by his silversmithing partners, father George and brother Richard) became a premier name in 20th century California hand crafted silver work.

This item, a 5 5/8" long, .4 T. oz. (12 grams), spoon is in his (1800) Antique pattern. Slender, it has a tipped backside, and hammered surface on the upper side of the handle and backside of the pointed end bowl.

Never monogrammed, it is without wear or damage and has a bright finish.

Marks are "Sterling" and "Porter Blanchard."
