$85.00 Price for the four items.

A matching group in a Tipt aka Fiddle Tipt pattern, three of these four (two shown) teaspoons measure 5 1/2" long and one measures 5 3/4". The three collectively weigh 1.6 T. oz., and the single one .6 T. oz.

They are of archival interest for both the maker and the retailer.

Stamped with Whiting's "winged lion and W" emblem and "Coin," they are very early examples of a major 19th century silver manufacturer's modest origins.

Well-crafted and precisely-formed items with brilliant finishes, they nonetheless mirror standard products of their time and belie the singularity of the firm that was just beginning to distinguish itself in their circa 1866 date.

They are all also marked "Edw. J. Zahm," for the Lancaster, Pennsylvania watchmaker and jeweler who was a member of a Lancaster, Pennsylvania family dynasty, comprised of father and son Godfried and Michael, and cousins to Michael, Henry and Edward.

All four pieces are engraved in feathered line script with "SST" monograms set sideways on the handles. The one spoon has a slightly different style "T" from the other three.

They are all in immaculate estate condition, without any visible wear, and having perfectly-shaped, dent-free, bowls without tip wear.
