This all silver (not weighted, although it may have been originally) vase stands 10" tall on a 2 5/8" wide, tiered, base and weighs 7.8 T. oz. It is hallmarked for "sterling silver," "London," "1898," and prominent English maker "William Comyns & Sons, Ltd." Trumpet form, it has tapered sides that lead to a splayed top that measures 4 1/2" in diameter. An early 20th century pattern, Wallace's "Violet" is an expressive Art Nouveau floral design. This example is a 7 1/4" long, 1.3 T. oz., preserve or jelly spoon. A large blossom occupies the central portion of the handle and is surrounded by additional blossoms, buds, and leaves the full length of the handle and on the backside. A very early example of Reed & Barton's "Les Cinq Fleurs," this berry spoon is large at 9" long and weighty at 3.5 T. oz. A multi-motif, Art Nouveau, design that features orchids, narcissus, and possibly poppy on this piece, the portraiture is set in high relief and is particularly expressive. Vandermark artglass is contemporary glass made in the style of art nouveau. This piece was made in 1981 in June. It is marked "1981-6", signed by the artist and numbered 0455. It measures 9.75" across the top and is 3.5" deep. This piece of stretchglass is in excellent condition. There is a pontil mark on the center of the base (normal).

This wonderful old wood burning picture is of the famous dancer Solome, King Herods step daughter. Measures a generous 19" by 25". All original backing with sticker Golde Pyro-Art-Wood. Even has the crafters original handwritten name on a sticker on the back who burned the picture in the late 1800's(Mrs.H D.Johnson,174 Bond St, Hartford Conn.) Wonderful coloring and patina.
