Shell on front and back of handle; fiddle thread. Round bowl. Length 13". Bowl diameter 3-5/8". Weight 8.4 troy ounces. The monogram is a script M on the front of the handle. Marked KHC in a rectangle and an ideogram. Overall and mark condition are excellent.

Downturned fiddle handle, no shoulders, long drop on bowl back, reverse tipt; 9" in length, 57 grams in weight, just short of 2 T oz. Condition is near-mint, extended bowl tip unworn, Warner's DW mark is described in Deerfield Silver and shown on-line, which can be reached by googling American Silversmiths.

Both made by R&W Wilson, Phila -- Inscribed in cartouche: Presented to/Linda Venable/as a reward of merit/by the trustees of the/Public School/1861. Similar sentiments of 2nd mug. Both with floral repousse bodies; one 4" high, 2nd 3-1/2" high. Both in excellent condition.

Each of these two matching dinner forks bears full hallmarks for London, 1829, Sterling, and a "C pellet S" maker's stamp for Charles Shipway. They measure 8 1/8" long, large by American standards but not so for English, and are heavy, weighing 4.6 T. oz. the pair. They are a plain fiddle tipt design and without monograms or inscriptions, or removals of same. The condition is excellent. The only signs of wear are very slight tip wear on the tines, more so on one fork, and shallow knife cuts... Click for details

set of six in original felt lined box, .800 standard, maker Fabbrica Argenteria Fiorentina circa 1935, total weight 3.86 oz. Troy, excellent condition, no monogram. These are well modelled and well executed. Each putto is full figural front and back. Though the little folks are cast from the same mold, each is carrying a different dish: soup, fish, fowl, eggplant, grapes, salad, and of course wine. An altogether charming way to guide your guests at table.

Made by Ball, Tompkins & Black, NYC, c1845 -- 12 forks, each 7" long, and 11 knives with silver blades, 8-1/4" long. Mono on all 23 pieces is M D (shown). Only the knives are marked with the makers' names. Some of the hollow handles have light dings, but, by and large, overall condition is excellent.
