New Orleans circa 1858, length 8 3/4 inches, some minor dents in bowls but no tip wear, good overall condition, weight 2.94 Troy ounces, monogrammed "F.M.P." (script, obverse). Items bearing the mark of L. Simons (see second photo) would appear to be scarce.

looks rather like the work of Antonio Pineda but marked only Taxco 925 (see fourth photo), length 15 inches. Since it just barely fits the neck of Yours Truly, we'd hoped to have him as a model but when our photographer showed up he had run off to the wood shed, forcing us to use a stand-in.

an original set at that-- all with date letter "F", S.K. in rectangle, 11 over 12, and city mark. Length 8 3/8 inches, weight 31.1 Troy ounces, all monogrammed "M" (reverse, period script, see third photo) most have some slight tine wear but the pattern is in very good condition. One or two are hard to find, but a set of twelve is rare, and this is not a word which we use lightly!!!

Baltimore MD circa 1790, round downturned end with just a hint of a rear midrib extending 3 inches down the handle, unusual double arched drop, length 8 3/4 inches, some tip wear as shown but good overall condition, monogrammed "H" in period script. How certain are we of this attribution? Well, if it's American then the spoon is most certainly Dowig...
but unmarked, length 4 1/2 inches comprising veined leaf with cast applied beetle enwrapping five stems and flower buds, wires have come unsoldered in a few spots at lower "bundle" but fine overall condition, original clasp (see fourth photo).

height 9 5/8 inches, smoothly ground pontil. As is often the case, the top rim has suffered some insults and been ground down a bit to hide them (please see second photo). Also, the stopper is alas a marriage and not a happy one. Nonetheless this is one handsome piece of glass.
