Made by J. & P. Coats, this is a counted cross-stitch kit titled “Love is Kind”. Never opened, kit contains cotton embroidery floss, gold beads, 14 count ivory Aida, thread holder and instructions. It has a copyright date of 1994.

This is a vintage quilt kit – top, binding, and instructions – to complete a beautiful baby quilt titled “Sweet Dreams”!

Quilt is stamped cross-stitch and embroidery, cut size is 42” x 60” with finished size 40” x 58”.

This is a “Progress” quilt kit, no. 1529, and lists the thread requirements, backing, etc. that are needed to complete the quilt.

It’s a pretty marbleized blue color and has a clear removable tray.

Neat sewing box made by Hommer Manufacturing Company of Newark 5, New Jersey, USA!

It’s marbleized red color with clear plastic lid that shows two kittens playing with a ball of yarn. Box measures 8” x 6” (at bottom), lid is hinged and works great...

This feed sack is a smaller size and probably contained flour or cornmeal when originally purchased!

Feed sack measures 25 ¼” long, 12” wide (has only been opened at the top). Unlike the larger feed sacks, this one has 2 side seams.

I have two of these feed sacks and both are in excellent condition...

This is a cute little glass turtle with a pin cushion on his back!

Turtle measures 2 ½” tall (at tallest), 1 ¾” wide (at widest), and 3 1/8” long (at longest).

Excellent condition – no chips, no cracks! No discoloration -- that's camera flash/reflection in photo!

The “mod” floral pattern on this feed sack is rather unusual! Feed sack is in shades of blue – background and flowers – with red “stems” on the flowers.

It measures 41 1/8” x 37”.

This is a super item that is not only very collectible but is very usable – it’s a handkerchief edgings book (15 pages) with a copyright date of 1949 and it’s a first edition!

Some of the page headings are so cute – “Blow and Behold”, “Right on the Nose”, and (my favorite) “Will You be Mine?, Dainty edgings with come-hither ways”.

Very good condition.

Another very collectible and useful vintage pattern and instruction book!

This one is titled “Tatting”, copyright 1939 by Spool Cotton Company.

It’s a 3rd edition and has 23 pages.

There are tatting patterns for towels, hankies, collars, an “exquisite baby cap”, and many others...

This listing has a neat tatting pattern book with copyright date of 1941!

I have always admired the art of fine tatting but didn’t realize there were different designs – with names – I just thought tatting was tatting!

This book (23 pages) shows tatting designs of “Tradition”, “Wedding Bells”, “Butterfly”, “Fleurette”, “Debut”, and “Forsythia”...

This one is titled “Tatting, a fascinating book of delicate lace designs”, has 23 pages, and has a copyright date of 1944 by the Spool Cotton Company.

Included are designs/instructions for hanky edgings, chair set, boutonniere, collar, doilies, and – surprise – earrings!

One heading of particular interest is “Spun Sugar Accessories, Glamour For the White Collar Girl” – which definitely dates this to the war years...

This book by American Thread Company is titled “Star Gift Book” and has designs/instructions for items to knit, crochet, and tat...

This book (22 pages) has designs/instructions for crochet and knitting edgings!

It has a copyright date of 1945 by The Spool Cotton Company and this is the 7th edition of the book.

There are designs for edgings for hankies, sheets, pillowcases, towels and more. Book is in excellent condition (there is some writing on top corner of one page).

This listing has an unopened feed sack! It’s a white background with pink and gray floral design that I call windswept (that's what comes to mind when I look at it!).

Feed sack measures 21 ½” x 35” (these are closed measurements).

It is in super condition – no holes or tears but it does have a 1” x 1” light stain that may or may not launder out with pre-soak. I laundered the feed sack but did not pre-soak or use bleach (I do not use bleach on vintage fabric)...

This listing has a vintage metal tatting shuttle!
