This is a really nice Set of Four (4) white Stackable Mugs with Birds decoration on. These Mugs were made by Anchor Hocking Glass for their Fire King line. Each mug has a bird on each side. The mugs measure 3 1/2 inches high X 3 inches in diameter. The mugs are all signed 'ANCHOR HOCKING FIRE KING OVEN-PROOF 55 - MADE IN U.S.A.'. Offered is a very nice late 18th or early 19th Century Philadelphia coin silver teaspoon by silversmith Simon Daucé, circa 1798-1819. His work is quite scarce. This teaspoon measures about 5 1/4 inches in length and weighs about 8 grams. This piece has a rubbed but legible maker's mark and a block letter monogram. Offered is a nice American coin silver teaspoon by New York City silversmith Henry Edwin Hoyt, working there between 1812 and 1852. This piece is easily dated thanks to the year punch of "1826", near the maker's mark. Not sure how long Hoyt did this, but it isn't common. This piece has a clear maker's mark, and a period engraved script monogram. It measures about 5 7/8 inches in length, and weighs about 15 grams. Offered is a good Connecticut coin silver spoon from the little town of Brooklyn, by Edwin Comfort Newbury, working there circa 1828-50, give or take. It is marked with a legible but slightly rubbed maker's mark, and is engraved with a period script monogram. This teaspoon measures about 5 3/8 inches in length and weighs about 12 grams. Condition is very good overall, with only modest wear from normal use, and no dents, splits or repairs. A nice example from this maker!

Offered is a very fine pair of early 19th Century American coin silver dessert spoons by noted Philadelphia silversmith John McMullin, circa 1825-41. Please click on the first picture to be able to review all of the pictures. These spoons measure about 7 1/8 inches in length, and weigh a total of 58 grams. They are initialed MC over SWC in period script, and have good clear maker's marks on the back. Condition is very good, with a few tiny dings to the bowl of each, and no splits or repairs.... Modestly sized at 1 3/4" diameter, 1 3/8" wide, and weighing just over .5 T. oz., this napkin ring could have been part of a child's set (along with a mug, plate, and/or porringer for example), although not necessarily.

It has a three lobed body, the top and bottom ones of which are embossed in an Ivy and Vine pattern.

Again, this naturalistic portraiture is pastoral, almost naive, in its theme and could suggest the innocence of a child.
