Danvers, MA circa 1930, height 3 1/4; top diameter 2 5/8 inches, weight 5.75 Troy ounces, no monogram, some very light scratches but excellent overall condition.

Though his work is ardently sought by collectors, Porter's output was not always of consistent quality. His soldering was occasionally sloppy, and his hammer marks were at times random. Here, the seams are nearly invisible, and the art peen hammering (please see third enlargement) is laid out masterfully along the vertical axis.

with finely executed naturalistic engraving, matte finish, gilt interior, 2 3/4 inches high, top diameter: 2 inches, weight 3 oz. Troy, monogrammed "B.K" and something else (in Russian script) which you can see it in photo number three. A kind reader has told us that it means "to your health." There was one small dent that's been tapped out, and it's good work. Aside from that the condition is excellent. Click your mouse and then reach for the vodka; this is a lovely piece of silverware.

French Sculptor Auguste Arnaud is noted for his work "The Skirmisher," now housed at the Redoute de Gravelle in Paris. He sought but failed to win a commission for the official state sculpture of Don Pedro II, King of Portugal. Most probably these were his personal candlesticks, purchased during his time in Portugal...

Canton circa 1825, gilt interior, the elaborate cast everted godrooned rim adorned with flowers and scrolls, the midsection with ten chased panels of grapes and vines, the finely chased acanthus leaf thumbrest atop double C-scroll handle. Height 5 inches; length across handle to spout 7 3/8 inches, weight 21 Troy ounces, discretely monogrammed "W" in period script just below the waistline, marked as shown in fourth enlargement.

This is a hefty, fine quality item. Though there's light wear...

Banks and Biddle Company, length 8 1/4 inches, excellent condition, monogrammed "C" (script, obverse). A classic example of Philadelphia style bright cut engraving. Marked with trademark only, but our guess is that it's sterling rather than coin silver.
