Elizabethtown NJ circa 1826, length 12 7/8 inches, weight 7.44 Troy ounces, excellent condition, monogrammed "MSM" in conjoined period script with flourishes (obverse) and "1801" (reverse), round downturned end with short back midrib, round chamfered shoulders and rounded drop. with oak leaves and acorns, height and diameter both approximately 1 3/4 inches, weight 1.8 oz Troy, fine condition, marked only "S 620" but according to a Very knowledgeable fellow, the work of Wood and Hughes.

Allow me to begin by saying all the things it's not: 1) Ashbee 2) Knox 3) Liberty 4) perfect.

And now, let's move along to cheerier thoughts...

spoons, London 1842, length four inches, weight a rather stunning .92 Troy ounces each, maker SC, untouched original condition, no monogram. The reverse of bowl with a lion's face cast in high relief, the tail entwining handle and terminating in a cast and chased paw with superb detail.

I do not recall ever having seen a finer pair of master salt spoons.

unmarked but probably Scandinavian circa 1880, diameter 5 7/8 inches, enamel appears to be perfect and we've found no breaks in the silver. Add a zero on to our price and you still couldn't buy a new one of comparable quality...
