This is such an adorable little doll. Hand painted head, hands and feet. Cloth body. I think her body is new. I know NOTHING about old dolls! But, this one does say Germany in the back of the neck and something elsle that looks like MED with in a square with other marks. Anyway she is cute and in perfect condition and is 10" tall. She does have a vintage crochet penafore on, with a white cotton dress, slip and pantallons. I'm just clueless to the age! You as a collector may be able to tell.
Made of hard molded plastic, in a kewpie style (no wings) He measures 2 1/4" tall. No clothes, Hands folded behind head. I have two of them. Price is for each doll.
A Pickford Brass Button Bear from the 20th Century Collection. His style is from the 1940's, and he is dressed as a sailor. All white uniform with navy trim.His paper tag is now almost non-existant.He however still has his brass button and tag on his hat. Measures almost 12" tall, and comes with original stand. He is in great condition, but his white fabric is a little dusty from being displayed and should be washed.
vintage skookum baby doll on a cradleboard. This was originaly a mailer.Measures 4" tall, made of composition and has a real blanket and tied with a rawhide tie.Very good condition with the exception of a paint chip on the nose. The mailing tag is gone from the string. On the back someone has written in pen "Bought at Union Station Kansas City, MO.
THis lovely doll for a pincushion was found at a local estate. Made of pottery, hand painted with a matte glaze. She is very pretty and delicate. No mark. She has the holes on each side for attaching the pincushion skirt/bottom. No chips or stains. No makers stamps.
1930's Madame Alexander Dionne Quint Baby Doll.Measures 7" long. Great condition but needs to be re-strung. Its a little loose. Separate head, torso, arms, and legs. Marked Alexander on the back in mold. There is some wear on the brown paint o her hair. This is wonderful if you are missing a quint to complete your collection.
Vintage 20's rag doll is called a topsy turvy or a double ended doll. They were made where the skirt fell over the head and arms of the ends. Mainly found in the US. Each sides of the dress is a different calico print. Lace trim partially loose on the dress (can be tacked back into place easily). Each dress is fastened at the back with 2 small snaps and the white doll is wearing a sunbonnet. The faces are hand painted on the fabric...
Shirley Temple carnival kewpie style doll made of porcelain but looks like composition because of the coloring. Pristine condition, paint is excellent, and measures 6" tall. Frozen body with moveable arms.
Vintage Hand painted German half doll (or pincushion doll) Yellow hat with pink roses, pink tassel necklace. Arm behind her back. Approx. 3 1/4" tall There is no mark on this one that I can see, but information shows she is "5160 Germany".Wonderful condition with no issues. Very lovely.
THis little buckaroo will be so cute in your cabinet with your vintage cowboy stuff. Very old and made of hand painted bisque porcelain. He is only 3" tall. Mold stamped Japan. Very good condition with no chips or repairs.
The previous owner of these had repeated stories that these may have been Maggie & Jiggs from the early comic strip Bringing up father. Though it looks like them, I believe they are just the Frozen Charlotte and Charlie bride and groom cake toppers from Long long ago. They are made of hand painted bisque porcelain, and the paint is fantastic for their age with no fading. He measures 2 5/8" and she is 2 1/2" tall. Made in Japan stamp on his feet. They are perfect with no chips...
