Measuring 7 3/4" long overall, with a 2 1/4" diameter by 1" deep bowl, and weighing 2.06 T. oz., this is a generously proportioned, solid silver, gravy ladle.

The pattern is Union, made by John Wendt, and in this case retailed by "Starr & Marcus," New York, as stamped on the handle backside, along with "Sterling" and "Patent."

Each of these two, matching, napkin rings is stamped "W & H" for Wood & Hughes, "288" for the model number, and "S" for sterling, all on the inside wall.

They are large, fundamentally plain, bands that stand 1 3/4" tall, are 1 5/8" in diameter, and weigh a substantial 2.93 T. oz. combined.
