This 6" long, just over 1.0 T. oz. (32 grams) teaspoon incorporates a cast and applied, high relief, cherub or baby's face set on an Old English handle.

It was made by Gorham whose "lion, anchor, G" emblem, the word "Sterling," "M" for medium weight designation, model number "H 1467," and date symbol for 1899 appear on the backside.

A youth or child's spoon, the name "James" is engraved sideways in script on the handle front...

Dating from the middle third of the 20th century as indicated by the particular "S. Kirk & Son Sterling" mark that appears on the handle backside, this 5 3/8" long, approximately 1.0 T. oz., round bowl piece is variously identified as a cream or mayonnaise ladle.

The pattern is the company's signature "Repousse," featuring an array of high relief, satin finish, flowers and leaves.

The backside is plain and never monogrammed...

Standing 6 3/8" tall on a rimmed base that is 2" in diameter, and weighing just over 3.5 T. oz., this shaker is hallmarked for sterling, London, and 1932-33.

The maker's stamp, which appears on the wall of the body and the sleeve of the cap, is some rubbed. It is shield form and appears to end with "LD" or "LtD."

A sugar sifter aka muffineer, it is baluster style, with a tall, attractively pierced, fitted cap that is surmounted by a flame finial...

The earliest of four Kings (I, II, III, and King George) patterns produced by Gorham, Kings I, introduced in 1876, is the most individualistic and least imitative of the four of the English counterparts from which this popular American design in many manifestations evolved...

Each of these two spoons measures 5 1/4" long with the pair weighing 1.2 T. oz. combined.

Ice cream spoons, they have twisted stems with rounded ends that are engraved in a floral and leaf design with faux engine turning.

Each one is also inscribed in the frontside reserve area with an Old English "M.E.S." monogram. The backsides are plain save for the word "Sterling."

The bowls have notched shoulders and slightly pointed tips.

The overall form and design suggests a date circa 1870...

Dating from 1872, Gorham's Corinthian embodies the Greek Revival and Moorish sensibilities of its 1870s period. Architectural in style, it incorporates an anthemion leaf on the handle surmounted by leafy tracery.

This example is a lengthy at 8", and weighty at 1.3 T. oz., solid silver master butter knife.

The broad, 1" wide, flat blade has a scalloped upper edge and is engraved on the upper surface in a design that mirrors the pattern...

A salad or large berry serving spoon, this piece measures 9" long, weighs a substantial 2.9 T. oz., and has a generously sized, 3 1/2" by 2 3/4" by 3/4" deep, bowl with a satin matte gold finish on both sides.

The pattern is Charles II by Dominick & Hall whose three part emblem, "Sterling," "Pat-d 94," and the name of the retailer, Brooklyn's "Wm. Wise & Son" appear on the reverse...

A bright cut floral and leaf design dating circa 1880 rendered in an Aesthetic manner, the pattern on this 8 1/4" long, 1.4 T. oz. serving spoon appears to be Towle's No. 38 Engraved.

The lack of a maker's mark and an ovoid shaped bowl with a flanged rim and central raised vee not typically Towle in form, however, suggests it was made by some other contemporaneous producer...

Bright cut engraved designs were popular among American silver manufacturers during the last quarter of the 19th century, with this 7" long, approximately 1.6 T. oz., gravy ladle a fine example of the style.

Made by Gorham, whose "lion, anchor, G" emblem and the word "Sterling" appear on the "Old English" tipt handle backside, the pattern is Chrysanthemum, issued in 1885...

Large for a sardine fork, this piece measures 6 3/8" long and weighs 1.17 T...

Tracing to the reign of England's George II, this 8 3/4" long, approximately 1.3 T. oz., piece is fully and clearly hallmarked for sterling, London, 1758, and maker William Turner (script WT).

A Marrow scoop, if follows fully after the form, with two elongated, rounded end, bowls, one wide and one narrow, joined by a solid bar.

The backside heel of the larger bowl is engraved with a block letter "T over L R" monogram.

Measuring 5 1/2" long and weighing just over 1.0 T. oz. (32 grams), this pair of George III English tongs are marked "SG/EW" for London silversmiths Samuel Godbehere and Edward Wigan.

Other marks are a "lion" for sterling, a "bust" duty mark, and date letter "G" for 1802-03.

Very much a period item, the slender, curvilinear, arms are bright cut and wriggle work engraved in a starburst and diamond pattern.

A large, 2 3/8" tall by 2 5/8" base diameter, and heavy 5.8 T. oz. silver content, this mustard pot is fully hallmarked on the side for Sheffield, England, 1914, sterling, and prominent maker Thomas Bradbury & Sons (TB & S in a shield).

The lid is counterstamped on the underside with the maker's mark and a lion passant for sterling.
