Each of these two identical place forks measures 7 1/16" long. They are heavy, with the pair weighing 3.4 T. oz. combined.

Dating from the late 19th century, they are high quality items stamped "Hennegan, Bates Co." for the prominent Baltimore firm, and "Sterling."

One of the numerous partnerships that prominent silversmith William Gale of New York City entered into, "Gale & Willis" spanned the years 1859-62.

This example of his work is a 7 3/8" long, weighty at 2.0 T. oz., gravy ladle.

It has a twisted handle and broad, shaped, flat handle that is bright cut engraved with an engine turned background.

There is a shield reserve with an Old English "CPK" or "CPR" monogram inscribed on it.

Offered is a rare, early and splendid George III English sterling silver toy spoon or miniature spoon (or possibly a snuff spoon), hallmarked for London, 1791 but without a maker's mark that I can discern. Often such miniature spoons were not fully marked, and were entirely unmarked in some cases.
