This blue tea towel is a wonderful example of fine handwork. It is scalloped and finished by hand with a fine blanket stitch on both ends with machine-stitched hem on sides. Detailed cutwork of a flower and leaves, and fine embroidery on one end. Could also be used as a dresser scarf.
Laundered, line dried, lightly starched the old fashioned way, dampened and ironed. Towel will arrive folded in thirds widthwise and in half lengthwise.

These tea towels are truly amazing examples several forms of handiwork - hand applique, drawn threadwork and fine embroidery.
Everything is done by hand except three side are hemmed by machine using very fine stitches. The fourth side was hemmed by hand using a tiny blanket stitch to bind the appliqued colored material to the background.

Old glazed pottery cookie jar by Brush McCoy. The Formal pig, all decked out in his formal attire. The bottom is perfect but the head has been repaired. Not sure how old this purse is. It looks older but the condition is extremely nice. Front has a ripple silk fabric, the back is solid smooth silk. Top has a black patent leather flap with a clear plastic / lucite handle. Tag inside says Starbags MONI. Measures 6 1/2" x 6 plus the handle. Silver plate 'Sheraton' pattern Cocktail - Seafood Fork made by Community / Oneida is about 6 1/2 inches long. This pattern was first made in 1910. Head of fork has a spot on front side where plating is off and quite a bit of wear on back.
