The inside of the bottom plate is also scratched "L M" over "5/42," likely referencing the crafts person responsible for overseeing the production of this piece, and doubly confirming the year of manufacture.

This 7 7/8" long and weighty at 2.3 T. oz., small berry or jelly serving spoon is an original example of Reed & Barton's "Les Six Fleurs," a pattern issued in 1901.

It is marked with the company's "eagle, R in a shield, lion" emblem, "Pat. Appl'd For," and "Sterling" on the reverse, all in precise, fine lettering as would be expected of an original piece.

This slightly oversized at 6 1/8" long, just under .5 T. oz. (14 grams), coin silver teaspoon is a particular fine example, exceptionally well-designed and crafted, in pristine condition, and with a brilliant finish.

Note: there is one scratched area on the handle backside, evidence of someone confirming the purity of this. Resistant to hand polishing, it could be eliminated by buffing.

It has a "Fiddle" shaped handle with a slight "Tipt" backside, high, rounded, shoulders, a plain drop,... Click for details

It is fully hallmarked for London, sterling, and 1820-21.

The maker's stamp is quite rubbed, although it is legible enough to determine it is two letters over two letters, the lower left hand one of which is "W." A reasonable possibility is William Eley and William Fern, who worked in this period and were significant producers.

The pattern is a "Shell and... Click for details
