Offered is a quite rare example of the work of Philadelphia jeweler and silversmith Frederick H. Smith, working from 1833 to 1845 with silver, and then in related lines thereafter. This spoon probably dates to the earlier part of his career. It has a very clear maker's mark, and this mark was pictured in the book "Philadelphia Silversmiths" by Catherine Hollan. Here is a lovely blue or amethyst carnival glass fruit bowl in the garland pattern that was made by the Indiana glass company 1970's-80's. This bowl measures 4 1/2" tall and is 12" long x 8 3/4" wide across the top. Stands on four legs and has a lovely thick relief fruit pattern in the bottom.This bowl is in beautiful condition with no damages and deep carnival coloring. I have other colors listed in this same bowl.
