GRANITEWARE LARGE SOUP KETTLE

This is a very nice primitive western kettle. Large side of 8” wide at the base x 6 ½” at the top x 9 ½” high, with a side handle. Metal over all handle with a central wood hand piece. White splatter on dark blue metal, it bears the very detailed décor of a cook at his brick oven/cook stove.
The décor appears to be made of a thin layer of porcelain creating a relief.
On the lid, written in yellow, it says “Come on in, the party is fine”.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of D Day, an association of French winegrowers decided to bottle their divers wines in special bottles made especially for the event.
This bottle is an example of decoration to the glory of the Troupes with the flags of different countries that took action to this important day.
The bottle offered here, made of green glass, was from a wine from 1993, coming from the Burgundy region of France.

Square at 8 ¼ “ per side by ¾” thick, very heavy plaster decorative wall plaque hold by a long strong rope on the top.
The rooster is engraved in the plaster as well as the branch of bay leaf in each corner. The entire plate is hand painted in all details.
It was completely created and realized by hand by a French artisan as the rooster is the symbol of France where it was bought in 2003.
