This is such a neat photo! It’s black and white and measures 6” x 3 ¾”. Photo shows Causeway Terminal and Yacht Berths.

Handwritten on back is this information: “Entering harbor at Miami, Fla from ship Florida from Cuba Oct 1939”.

Photo was developed by The Fischer Studio, 207 ½ - 209 ½ East Fifth Street, East Liverpool, Ohio.

This mid 19th century, coin silver berry or othr serving spoon measures 8 11/16" long and weighs 1.4 T. oz.

It has a broad, "Tipt" end, high shoulders off the bowl, and a generously proportioned, 3" long by 1 7/8" at the widest, scallop shell bowl.

There is a fancy, feathered script "HMM" monogram on the front of the handle.

It is stamped with the name of Philadelphia manufacturer and retailer "S.M. Hopper," and a three part "arrow, W, shield" pseudo hallmark. In his... Click for details

A large, 10 1/2" wide by 2" tall, and weighty at 15.1 T. oz., this item is aptly described as a centerpiece or console bowl, as it is of a caliber to serve as a prominent display item.

It is sterling silver, model "4805A" made by Gorham in 1907, all of which information is indicated by the marks on the underside.

Offered is a lovely and large late 18th Century American coin silver table spoon by well-known Preston, CT silversmith Samuel Avery (1760-1836), whose father John was also a prominent silversmith. Samuel Avery was quite successful and a fair amount of his silver survives; he went through a number of maker's marks over time. Offered is a very good American coin silver teaspoon by Greencastle, Indiana (1860-1887) jeweler Alexander R. Brattin, who trained in Cincinnati in one of the large shops (perhaps Duhme & Co.), and then established his own firm in Greencastle just prior to the outbreak of war. He seems to have found much success there, and opened branch locations in Danville and Spencer in the mid-to-late 1880s. He moved on to Kansas City and then St. Louis late in life, and passed away in 1897 or so. This... Click for details

the knife length 7 3/8 inches with Little Boy Blue a-blowing his horn, the spoon with Old Mother Hubbard and her sizable schnoz length 6 inches, total Troy weight 2.27 ounces, some scratches to bowl but fine overall condition, engraved "Roger from Auntie" (reverse).

Both figures appear to be hand chased-- note the detail in Blue's hat and knickers.

Made in a limited number of pieces, rather than a full line of flatware, this "Iris" theme pattern is strongly Art Nouveau in style and likely dates either side of 1900.

This example is a long handle, 8 7/8", .7 T. oz., two tine, olive or pickle fork.
