A large table or serving spoon, this piece measures 9" long and weighs 1.8 T. oz. Coin silver, it is stamped "J. Guthre" for James Guthre, who worked in Wilmington, Delaware in the second quarter of the 19th century. References record him in partnership with Emmor Jefferis c. 1840. Offered is a good American coin silver spoon by Albany jeweler Joseph Taft Rice, circa 1840; this spoon bears Rice's retailer's mark and manufacturing marks. It is also engraved in period script. It measures about 6 inches in length and weighs about 18 grams. Condition is fair overall, with some wear and small dings to the bowl, but no splits or repairs. All in all a good example of this maker's mark!

Offered is a nice group of two American coin silver spoons by little-known Boston silversmith Deodat Williams (b. 1794 - d. 1857), working from 1811 on. These spoons are not a pair; rather, each features a different maker's mark used by Deodat Williams.

Introduced in 1951, Rondo was made by Gorham. Both the pattern and the company name, along with the word "Sterling," appear of the backside of this 8 1/4" long, weighty at 2.5 T. oz., all silver tomato server in the pattern. A clean design, French with a modernistic flair, this has scrolled margins which are expanded into a rosette on the handle end.
