Silver : Coin Silver
Cliff Nunn - Antique Silver and Decorative Arts
20200729-11 $17.50
Offered is a nice shellback coin silver silver spoon marked with probably New York manufacturing marks, and the name of the retailer, one J.K. McDonald. This person was probably in New York, but I'm not completely sure. This spoon has legible marks and a period engraved monogram. It measures about 6 1/8 inches in length and weighs about 19 grams. Condition is fair, with a fair amount of wear and some small dings here and there, but no splits or repairs. All in all a nice coin silver spoon!

Offered is a city-marked New Hampshire coin silver spoon by Stanford Hovey and Amos Parker, working as Hovey, Parker & Co. circa 1850-52 in Manchester, NH. This spoon has good marks and a period engraved owner's name on the handle, which is unusual enough to likely be traceable. This spoon measures about 5 7/8 inches in length and weighs about 13 grams. Condition is fair, with some dings and bends but no splits or repairs. All in all an interesting piece with a relatively scarce maker's... Click for details

Coin Silver Spoon Circa 1815 Marked "O.&C." - Location/Maker Unknown
Silver : Coin Silver : Flatware
Cliff Nunn - Antique Silver and Decorative Arts
20200727-07 $35.00
Offered is a nice American coin silver spoon circa 1815, give or take five years, with a maker's mark of "O.&C." and a period engraved script monogram of "UT". The maker is unknown, at least to me - while Ott & Cluff of Virginia has been suggested, this spoon feels to be a bit late for that partnership. As such, it is a bit of a mystery! This piece measures about 5 1/2 inches in length and weighs about 12 grams. Condition is fair overall, with some small waves in the handle and a few minor... Click for details

Cliff Nunn - Antique Silver and Decorative Arts
20200727-03 $25.00

Nicholas LeHuray, Jr. made or sold some very fine flatware, and occasional hollowware. His work is not all that scarce but is usually very desirable. New England Coin Silver Sugar Shell by H. J. Low, Circa 1830-50
Silver : Coin Silver
Cliff Nunn - Antique Silver and Decorative Arts
20200726-03 $17.50
Offered is a nice 19th Century American coin silver sugar shell by unknown silversmith or jeweler H. J. Low, possibly a man named Henry J. Low purportedly working in Fitchburg, Massachusetts in the mid-19th Century. I haven't found a verifiable reference for this mark, which is H.J.LOW in a rectangular punch. It doesn't appear that this Mr. Low is related to the much more famous Low family of silversmiths/jewelers in Boston in the same era - at least not closely. This piece has a good clear...
